Priority Indigenous Service (PIS) - for Indigenous Individuals and Communities
This is a dedicated program for Indigenous Australians to assist with career development; employability skills and information on employment and training pathways.
The service works with Indigenous Australians to develop the employability skills needed to gain employment, provide career guidance, information on where to access employment and training services in the region; assisting with the transition to further education, training and employment; examine what is required in the modern workplace, help develop an employment plan and provide work experience insurance cover.
In addition, this program works closely with Indigenous agencies and relevant support organisations throughout the north metropolitan region promoting the value and importance of career development and employability skills in today’s labour market to indigenous communities, and individuals.
By engaging with Indigenous groups and individuals to provide information on the services offered by the EDN network, PIS encourages the promotion of those services, career development and employability skills within Indigenous communities and between generations
The program is situated at the Girrawheen and Joondalup offices.
