Career Development through the Workforce Development Centre - (WDC)
The Western Australian Government has identified career development as an important means by which Western Australians can develop the knowledge and skills which will equip them to manage their lives, learning and work in an ever changing labour market.
The main objective of the Workforce Development Centre (WDC) program is to assist individuals of any age and at any point throughout their lives to make educational, training and occupational choices and to manage their careers.
Our qualified Career Practitioners assist individuals, students, schools teachers, parents and communities in the following ways;
- Provide you with personalised career guidance.
- Career exploration and employability development through workshop activities
- Assistance with developing career planning, employability and skills needed to gain employment
- Provide guidance and assistance to identify appropriate career pathways
- Provide up-todate information about careers, education and training opportunities, apprenticeships, traineeships, employment and other labour market
- Develop skills needed to gain employment or to have existing skills and competencies recognised
- Provide supported referral services to other organisations that can help
The Workforce Development Centre is funded bny the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development and supported by LotteryWest.
