Working With the Community

BJL is a non profit organisation that specialises in issues of community development, such as social services, education, training, career development and employability. Since 1987 we have delivered over 220 community based programs.

Our philosophy revolves around three central ideals:

  • Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.
  • Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be directed to the full development of human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
  • Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his/her personality is possible.

The 1948 Universal Human Rights Declaration articles, compiled by the United Nations, form the driving foundation of our business and our philosophy. Get the full list of the Articles.
