BJL lives in and is part of the communities it represents.

We believe in active citizenship in the daily practice and application of the Human Rights Charter; the inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace.

Freedom is the capacity and ability to remain true to self and those around you, justice without fear nor prejudice and peace that comes from personal and community well-being.

We value and advocate for the right to education and that it be directed to the full development of the human personality.  That everyone has the right to work and to the free choice of employment; to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.  And that everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of their personality is possible.  These we believe  are the key components to social and economic mobility in a free and just society.
